Harmonica master BRENDAN POWER, keyboard maestro GEOFF CASTLE and creative percussionist LUCY RANDALL have combined their talents in this exciting new line-up. The three blend a wide range of influences from in a live show that emphasizes strong rhythms, catchy tunes and plenty of improvisation.

GEOFF CASTLE has a CV as long as your arm, and is a hugely respected jazz pianist in the London live and recording scene. He has written music for BBC TV, composed a suite for the Camden jazz festival, and featured on two of the late great Ian Dury’s albums. Geoff makes regular appearances at Ronnie Scott’s Club and has played piano and keyboards with artists as varied as George Coleman, Nucleus, Graham Collier, Paz, Jimmy Guiffre, James Moody and Art Farmer.

New Zealand harmonica player and composer BRENDAN POWER has recorded with the likes of Sting, Van Morrison, Paul Young, Mary Black, James Galway, John Williams, and Paul Brady. Brendan is acknowledged by many as one of the most versatile and creative harp players around, particularly in his adaptation of the harmonica to Celtic, Blues and, most recently, Swing Jazz.

Rochester-based Lucy Randall was inspired to take up the bodhran after seeing Irish band De Dannan, and is now recognised as a rising star for her creative, jazzy approach to the instrument. She is also expert on the Latin percussion box the Cajon, as well as playing a very funky tambourine! She has played with the likes of Steafan Hannigan and the Michael McGoldrick Band.

This is a trio of superb innovative acoustic musicians, whose music stimulates both mind and body. In addition to their performance skills, each has a long teaching pedigree, and they are available for workshops on their respective instruments.
