POWER
HARPS
As a player
and customiser of
both chromatic and diatonic harmonicas, I like to mix the best features
of both types in my own harps. For over 30 years I have been constantly
tweaking the components
to improve performance, or give some new functionality. This has given
me a lot of experience with
altered tunings, combining parts from
different brands, half-valving, and many other aspects.
From 2000-2006 I sold a wide selection of custom chromatic and diatonic harps
incorporating the
best fruits of my experiments. However, since 2007 I have had a job working for Suzuki Musical Instruments Co.
as their International Harmonica Specialist. It places demands on my time, so I
stopped making custom harps.
I'm still supplying the retuned diatonic and chromatic harmonicas that go with
my "Play Irish Music on
the Blues Harp"
and "Play Irish Music on
the Chromatic" packages, but not making any other custom
harmonicas at this time.
Below are photos of a few of the many types of custom Power Harps I made from 2000 to 2006.

Resonators and Slide Hook. A Responsive Blues Chromatic.

My Custom "Stretch Harps": 12 and 14 Hole models with the same
