Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp.

Thanks Brendan for sorting out my questions.
I just have to wait for a Seydel powerbender Slipslider.
I also guess that Unibender is set to pause because of new circumstances.

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp.

But i assume that i can use the first version of the comb shape for Seydel Richter even if i use session steel powerbending tuned reedplates? Or do i missunderstand it? What about Seydel 1847 classic comb design? I would think this is easier to design a slipslider comb to than session steel?

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp.

Great News for me too!. A Slipslider comb for powerbender and powerdraw...What are the main design difference between this and a regular comb? I play powerbender Seydel session or Seydel classic.

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp. It's Weird, but it Works!

I am not worried about the seal but it would be interesting to se how much wear the teflon can take before it loses its smoothness. No worries about it but there would be a big difference between 1000/10000 strokes. :D

It would be great if you can design to session steel. However if it dont work im open to Seydel 1847 which is more similar to Hohner. But it wold take a while (money) to shift my arsenal of session steel to 1847.

Brendan...is your plan to do slipslider to fit both Seydel session and Seydel classic? Im asking because the main part of my harmonica arsenal is session steel.

I agree...and Unibender and Slipslider have different advantages. Thats the reason i want to try both. And i am also producing to much saliva. And when the valves begin to stick it get worse for each day.

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp. It's Weird, but it Works!

The more I think about it the cooler this new idea seems. A bit off topic, but what are you doing in Turkey? Are you playing Turkish music? Any cool new designs or tunings? I bet you could do well with your all draw harp playing Ney style tunes. If you put a PaddyRast tuning in a SlipSlider you sho...

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp. It's Weird, but it Works!

Only 1 blowbend missing...lol This is the reason i like the idea with Slipslider...full chromaticism without the need of two harmonicas like switchharp, no tedious customizing, no Helmholtz resonance coupling, no need to use sticking valves. I only have to try it out and get used to the action befor...
