Re: TWIN-CHROMATIC

They are selling pretty well thanks Slava :-) And yes, they are perfect for blues style bending with half-valving, as you can see in this video by Boris Plotnikov:

Re: Switch-Harp store issue

I just checked and all is working.

For Special 20, choose the "Hohner Lipped Comb" option and you can buy just the front unit. Nothing else will be selected.

Re: Unibender

Maybe... My trouble is that I have too many designs I'm working on and tend to get completely focussed on the latest one. It's hard to break off from the buzz of the new to do the necessary final tweaks on earlier ones to get them out there. To launch something for sale also involves working out ord...

Re: Power plugs for hohner chromatic 16 holes

Yes, as long as the draw reeds face in and the blow reeds face away. Some earlier models had the opposite arrangement.

Re: Irish/Folk tuning

Both ways work Slava. Probably more Irish chrom players play reversed slide style, where the note goes down a semitone, known as the Eddie Clarke style after the man who pioneered it.

The OctaHarp Selectable is Released

The OctaHarp Selectable is now officially released. In single-harp mode the front harp plays exactly like a normal blues harp, with all the typical bending and expression. But you can instantly engage the rear low-range harp and switch to playing it as an octave harmonica. It's truly two great harps...
