Re: Midi harmonica dm48

As mentioned earlier in this thread, I've been working over the past few months with London electronics guru Tim Jacobs to make a mini pitchbender for the DM48, and I think we've cracked it. I've also designed a 10-hole diatonic-style mouthpiece for blues harp players. Check out the video to see the...

Re: Controllable Note Bending on MIDI Harmonicas - What are the Options?

The DM48 has incredible functionality and expression, but two things about it make it less appealing to diatonic harp players: an inability to controllably bend notes, and a 12-hole chromatic-harmonica-size mouthpiece. For my own playing and to help make the DM48 more user-friendly for all harp play...

Blues Harp Mouthpiece and Mini PitchBender for the DM48

The Lekholm DM48 is a very impressive MIDI Harmonica, only just released. As the first beta tester, I helped the inventor Erik Lekholm add extra tweaks to its amazing range of useful features. The DM48 has incredible functionality and expression, but two things about it make it less appealing to dia...

We sell Paddy Richter reedplates for the Promasters, and individual reeds for the Lucky 13s.

Re: Chromabender in the key of C

Hi Sridhar, Due to supply problems we are phasing out the current ChromaBender, and won't be making any more in C A is actually a better key for bending in the high octave :-)

Re: Power Chromatic

It WAS a C harp, but what now? There are various ways to easily make a PowerChromatic out of a Solo tuned chrom, and they all change the home key: 1. Retune holes 2/6/10 draw notes up a semitone, and detune holes 4/8/12 blow down three semitones. The slide-out scale starting from hole 1, blow note t...

Re: Any Chance We'll See Melody Maker Tuning?

Thanks for the request Bob. Sorry, we won't be putting out the Lucky 13 in Melody Maker but, as noted, MM is easy to make from Paddy Richter harps, so you could take that route. However Paddy Richter is only available on the Lucky 13 in a limited number of keys. The best idea if you you want it in m...

Re: Power Chromatic

Tyler is right. The double benefit of PowerChromatic is that there are no outside valves to stick, and all draw notes bend a semitone.
