Hi Friends, I know new product releases have been quieter of late, but that doesn't mean nothing's happening. Quite the contrary! I'm currently in a purple patch of workshop development where it feels as if many strands are coming together: a virtuous circle of improving skills, discovering new mate...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi All, I've just been dipping into new members' introductions and re-reading earlier ones. What a diverse range of back stories and life/work skills we bring to this forum! Over the years I've found one of the best things about playing and designing harmonicas is that it's brought me into friendly ...

Re: Andrew White please

Thanks for your suggestion Ron! It's a bit tricky as Andrew lives in New Zealand and I live in England. But, that being said, all our previous recordings were made on a brief visit he made here when he was living in Canada... I'm going to NZ in January and have been talking to Andrew about getting t...

Re: Gasket Valve sets for MARS KongSheng ?

Confirmed! It took about 4 hours today to make all the subtle changes to fit a Gasket-Valve set for the Mars. The comb is quite different inside to the Amazing 20. A nice design and injection moulding job, well done to Kongsheng.

Re: Brendan Power attends Swedish Harp Meet in September

It was so nice to meet up in person with a couple of the Forum members at Harpmeet: regular posters Triona and Edvin. Edvin had brought along a chromatic in a very interesting original tuning of his, quite a different approach to most. We also talked over the reedplate-stacking idea and made plans f...

Re: Accordion Reed Harmonica Experiments

I had a few Accordion-reed prototypes at Harpmeet, and it was good to get feedback from Edvin, Triona and others who tried them. The overall impression was positive, which was encouraging. This week I'm working on various improvements: 1. Enlarging the chambers to 'open out' the sound 2. Swapping th...
