Do any of you know the exact tuning of Seydel's medicalMD harp? I find the chord diagram confusing. My best guess is:
Blow: E F A C D --- F D G B E
Draw: B C E G A --- C A D B F

Re: Bend-less scale diagrams for Solo and PowerChromatic Lucky 13 in four modes and three keys
Brendan –- Thank you for those kind words and considered ideas. When you say you prefer to “put the blow notes on the bottom of the grid, so the arrows or scale lines from hole to hole rise and fall according to pitch” –- I totally understand that “aural” rationale. However, the first harmonica book...

Readers may wish to compare the "stock" Lucky 13 scales above with those of some re-tunings shown here: https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=792&p=3475#p3464 and here: https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=791#p3463 and here: https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/v...

Bend-less scale diagrams for Solo and PowerChromatic Lucky 13 in four modes and three keys
Nothing new here. Just some bend-less scale diagrams for Solo and PowerChromatic Lucky 13 harps in the keys of C, D and G and for the ionian, dorian, aeolian and mixolydian modes. I invite suggestions as to how to make these diagrams better. Please PM me. https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/download...

Re: Re-tuning a Solo Lucky 13 to Inverted Bebop
The tuning just above can also play the E dorian scale with a "normal" breath pattern, i.e. with a blow tonic. That re-tuning would be particularly useful starting with a PowerChromatic in C and ending up with a C ionian harp with an "inverted" breath pattern and also D dorian with a "normal" breath...

Re: Re-tuning a Solo Lucky 13 to Inverted Bebop
Roads that lead to Rome: ALL Tunings that lead to (or from) PowerChromatic : MANY After conceiving the re-tuning from Solo just above, I noticed that its first 13 notes were identical to PowerChromatic . So I had to wonder: "Why not just start out with PowerChromatic ? To wit: https://www.brendan-po...

Re: Re-tuning a Solo Lucky 13 to Inverted Bebop
Same as the re-tuning just above, except now the V chord is a complete triad. I don't like how the first full octave starts with a blow tonic. I do like how the IV chord and V chord overlap -- perfect for chugging. Note: The first 13 notes (i.e. the first six holes plus the 5 draw) are identical to ...

Re: Re-tuning from Solo to either "normal" or "inverted" Natural Minor
It has occurred to me that the re-tuning two posts above could also be useful for G mixolydian play. In that case, there is a "normal" breath pattern, i.e. the tonic is in the blow layer.
