Re: OVERBLOWING - Where to From Here?

THE NEW HARP: THINGS TO RETAIN Many overblow players might profess to be perfectly happy with customised versions of a 19th century harmonica design, but if a 21st century model became available that could do all of what a custom Marine Band can and much more, then I'm sure serious players would be ...

Re: New Models from the Big Manufacturers

You're right Gary! And the big tremolo chromatic. Suzuki deserve credit for going out on a limb with such adventurous models.

Tony: check the Turboslide thread for a suggestion re. Major Cross.

Re: New Models from the Big Manufacturers

Nice one Tony, well done on getting your Major Cross done with Seydel. They are such a player-friendly company, the best of all of the manufacturers in working with players to give us options, by far.

OVERBLOWING - Where to From Here?

THE PROBLEM, AND SOME SOLUTIONS As someone who started playing on the 10 hole diatonic, I share a love for the sound of this little harmonica with the majority of harp players on the planet. Like some of them, as soon as I got proficient and wanted to explore music genres that involved key changes a...

Controllable Note Bending on MIDI Harmonicas - What are the Options?

Talking of "Interesting Alternative Ideas in the Harmonica Scene", they don't come much more interesting or alternative than the new DM48 MIDI harmonica: http://www.lekholminstruments.com/ I was honoured by the inventor Erik Lekholm to be his beta tester of the first prototype. It was a fascinating ...

Hi Patrice, thanks for joining us here :) This forum is partly about my stuff, but also very open to interesting alternative ideas in the wider harmonica scene. So if you know or hear of anything, let us know. For example, since you are French, what's new with the local scene - and Yonberg in partic...
