Welcome aboard.
It sounds like maybe you had leakage between the slide in and slide out chambers.
Sealing a row of windsavers May have fixed the issue, but you have sacrificed a lot of reeds to get there. The problem was probably in the way the mouthpiece/slider was assembled.

Great stuff Brendan. I can’t wait.
Any more updates available from the double diatonic style x reed or switch harps?

Re: Notes from the Workshop
Great news.
Thanks for the update.
I’m waiting for the day I can try a unibender and maybe a new switch harp.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome aboard Jazmaan.
It was some of your you tube videos and postings that helped get me going on altered tunings.
Do you still play fourkey?
I still have one somewhere, but since my switch harp, I’m hooked.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome, Your English is fine. Better than my skills in any language. And thanks for the intro, it is nice to know that we aren’t alone, that there are other people out there having fun with harmonicas and trying new things. This forum is a great place for experimenters to chat, and occasionally get...

Re: Accordion Reed Harmonica Experiments
Excellent news.
This sounds like the best thing in harmonicas since the switch harp.
Any thoughts as to how you would market it?
Order individual harps by a tuning map, or maybe a kit with a comb and multiple inserts for easy experimenting?

And I’d buy another first generation slip slider if they were still available.

Nice simple Idea. I love it.
Time to look for a nail art pen!
I bet it would work well as valve glue too.

Re: PowerBender Versus EdHarmonica
Since the EDharmonica is basically a triple Paddy minus the Richter, it seems the Paddy Richter Lucky 13 would give you two octaves of the EDharmonica tuning with the possibility of a change of pace up top. Or you could take an A lucky 13, and by a little retuning get a proper EDharmonica layout in ...
