Re: Notes from the Workshop

Brendan..you are describing the reason why i often prefer the diatonic before the chromatic...to long distance between mouthpiece and reed and to thick comb and other small things. You have to choose between a big chromatic or a small diatonic and almost nothing between. Even if i emboss, reshape an...

Re: PowerChromatic, Inverted Bebop, Diminished and all their relatives. A complete list!

I think the dimi is the most versatile tuning but the conformity to law makes it, at least to me not so forgiving to improvise with like the powerchromatic. It would be good to have an alternative 10 hole powerchromatic tuning to switch with but i dont have the theory mind like you guys :D And bends...

Glad it seems to work for you. I only wish all chromatics could have the same respons like a diatonic. ...

Re: Seydel Symphony 48 now available as configurable!

I cant answer many of the questions, but regarding polished reeds...my experience is that polished reeds even out many imperfections in the reeds that can evolve to a crack in the future (well, everything breaks sooner or later) but they sure last longer if you ask me. Many imperfections are not vis...

Re: Notes from the Workshop

Good news Brendan! Always fun to read about your progress :D . One question: i was curious when you in April mention something about an alternative method for getting easy overbends on stock harps, That you finally arrived at a good solution on this. You invented some sort of assembly that you could...
