Re: Chromatic with Offset Tonics Double Lead Tone (COT-DLT)

Note that in the flat-slide version (above), both layers have three possible draw-bends per octave. Compare this with PowerChromatic, which has four, and with Solo and Classical, each of which have two.

Sheet music, tabs, and then THIS ...

In the 80s and 90s we talked a lot about "multimedia" because technology was making it more accessible -- for creation and consumption. Now we take for granted that text, graphics and audio can be combined for more powerful experiences. Here are some superb example of this. https://youtu.be/uADNbTnJ...

Re: Chromatic with Offset Tonics (COT) as applied to PowerChromatic

Hmm, I'm not seeing that. But what you say helps me to see the slide-out layer as Dorian (which is minor) Classical tuning in D.

Chromatic with Offset Tonics (COT) as applied to PowerChromatic

I offer this discussion even though I am not sure if the idea is useful. This Forum’s many experienced and insightful members might see possibilities that I am missing. I feel compelled to share this idea because I am surprised and intrigued by what I found when I applied my Chromatic with Offset To...

Re: Exploring a "Spiral-Chromatic" concept. Is this new?

Winslow, I understand your point. In fact, Brendan and I and others had a detailed discussion on this very topic about a year ago. I have seen many tuning diagrams since I started learning such things fifty years ago. Most of the diagrams that I have seen, including the Configurator at Seydel, are s...
