Re: Rampless Chromatic Comb

That's a great concept.
How does the action feel.
How many of those combs did you have made?

Re: Any Chance We'll See Melody Maker Tuning?

But it is a small box of tools. A set of small screw drivers, a cheap dremel type tool and polishing/ grinding burrs and a set of gap feelers, a reed wrench (you can make your own). And you can get a prepackaged set if you want. The Hohner kit is pretty nice, and it comes with winsavers for chromati...

Re: Rampless Chromatic Comb

That looks pretty sweet.
I'm interested in that hole in the back?
Is that going to have a coil spring inside that hole on the back?
It looks to me like it should work almost like a ballpoint pen if you have an arm on the slide that extends back there.
Or I could just be imagining that.

For a C melody maker you first Paddify the harmonica, then make the Fs into F# s.

Re: Pentatonic Harmonica

Google pentabender and Fourkey. Pentabender uses 5 holes per octave. The blow holes make one pentatonic scale. The draw holes another. And the 5 draw bends another. With those bends all 12 notes are available. I just got a Lucky Thirteen, and am thinking of retuning it to pentabender. Fourkey is sim...

Bass Harmonica

It seems to me that Bass harps in general are neglected, overlooked, and underused. Hopefully now with advances like Suzuki and Easttops octave basses, Tombo and Easttop's pocket basses, Brendan's new slider mouthpiece for the Suzuki and Hohner harps, Low Low harps, and even the Lucky 13 we can see ...

Re: OVERBLOWING - Where to From Here?

Sounds excellent!
I'd prefer it set up half-valved instead of an overblow set up, but that's just me.
The ability to switch combs/ reedplates out easily would be awesome too.

Re: What Would You Like to See?

Don't get a minder or trainer. You seem to do well as is. Use your freedom to obsess and focus that's how innovation happens. I had an old boss tell me that "multitasking meant Not getting more than one thing done at a time." Maybe you could collaborate with a writer or organizer to put what you hav...
