In my post of Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:59 am (above), we see how changing eight reeds of a 12- or 16-hole Solo-tuned slide or non-slide harp--initially in C tuning--can be converted to a chord-rich harp in the key of G. Using those exact same reed changes, we can start with a Solo-tuned harp in the key o...

Re: An easy, chord-enriching mod of a slide or non-slide 12- or 16-hole Solo-tuned harp
This one takes the idea above one small step further. A total of eight reeds are retuned--by either one or two semitones each.

Re: An easy, chord-enriching mod of a slide or non-slide 12- or 16-hole Solo-tuned harp
If the tuning above was part of a slide harp, and if the player needed a few more chords , then the six channels below might provide those needed chords on the low end of the slide-in layer. Note that this tuning requires altering seven reeds of a Solo-tuned harp. i chord (Cmin) - NEW II chord (Dmaj...

Re: An easy, chord-enriching mod of a Lucky 13 PowerChromatic
When Super-Circular is truncated as in the post above, the vi chord (shown as Amin in this example) loses its root note. We can regain a full triad of the vi chord if we now raise the 6 blow note by two semitones . This change is shown below. While we are at it, we might also choose to raise the 6 d...
