comb versus other tunings than C

Post by ramblingpedro » Mon Feb 26, 2018 2:14 pm

hi, I would like to ask a question which is on my mind for some time:
I own 3 powercombs for chromonicas in C; if I wanted to change the reedplate of my 12 hole to a reedplate in G, would it be ok in terms of size of the reeds and resonance matter? (for the later I would tend to think that... no... not really.... but may be quite)
I consider also buying a CX12 in G; so would a powercomb be ok for that?
thanks in advance for your answer, cheers!

My Universal PowerComb for the Hohner wood-comb chromatics will fit all keys, so no worries. Info here:

Ordering for lipped chromatic PowerCombs is suspended at he moment while we research new methods/materials for adding the lip. In the emantime I recommend my PowerPlugs for CX-12 and other chromatic combs. They will give the improvement in the top few holes on the stock combs at a low cost. Info here:
