Yes, the SkipSlider does level the playing field. So, to add to the ever increasing number of tunings I'm thinking of trying this variation:

C E G C E F A C E A
D G B D F G B D G C

Pluses

- this tuning restores Hole 5 to Richter (you get the DF warble back in familiar territory.
- consistency. all E's and A's use the Slip action for bending.
- change one of the F's to an F#.

Minusses

- no stand alone top octave F.
