I love your looping you tube vids and want to order a lavalier mic but wasnt sure exactly what i was looking for. On your vids you have a wire wrappped around your arm with the mike and also ear phone buds. On ebay i see lavalier lapel mics and alsa ones with ear buds? Are they all pretty much the same? Any brand/type you prefer?

Probably the cheaper the better, if you want an amped sound. A 1/4 inch jack is useful too. This is one I like:
