Suzuki had a very fertile period of development and innovation for about 5 years <snip> Just the low Manjis since
Don't forget the SSCH, that's an innovation!

Indeed, Seydel have been great to work with. Receptive to ideas, generous with sample instruments. Being a small harmonica only company, they are not constrained in the way that other manufacturers might be.

You're right Gary! And the big tremolo chromatic. Suzuki deserve credit for going out on a limb with such adventurous models.

Tony: check the Turboslide thread for a suggestion re. Major Cross.

Has anyone tested the new Hohner Ace Chromatic?
Hello, Yes I played The Ace 48 for about 2 minutes when the Hohner rep came out to Australia last year. My first impressions were it was a really nice harmonica to play. And the comb inserts, which can be brass or wood, really make a tonal difference to the sound and the weight. The slide was very smooth too. I'd say for the price, its worth it.

(I'll also add, by way of disclosure, I am the repair tech for Hohner in Australia and work for Kurt Jacob & Co. the importers of Hohner in Australia. But that's my honest opinion.)

cheers and good luck with the new forum,
Tony Peri
