Hey! Brendan and harmonica friends!

I just want to say that I was waiting a forum like this...with more freedom

I would like to make my first post about my lovely harmonicas Hohner 270 Deluxe.

They are my favorite! And with the custom Extreme PowerComb this harmonica is even better!
The only thing I would like to have with the combs is something like Suzuki or 64's PowerCombs, a front facing metal plate, and maybe some nuts to screw the mouthpiece.

But Im pretty happy with my instruments. Thanks for the combs Brendan!
You make the chromatic harmonica world better!

Thanks Ivan. I did make lipped versions of the 270 PowerComb for a while (photos are still up on my website: http://www.brendan-power.com/combs-hohner.php#lipped), but they were tricky to print and sand so I discontinued them

However you could glue your Hohner slider assembly backplate on to the front of one of your combs if you wish. If so, clan all the parts and try viscous Superglue, it gives you some time for adjustment before setting.

I also upgraded to the extreme powercomb on my 270! Do you just glue the ends of the backplate to the comb?

Hi Paris, sorry for the slow reply. There are various ways to do it.

A safe and effective way would be to stick a piece of double-sided tape to the back of your baseplate (or the front of the comb), cut out all the holes with a sharp scalpel blade and stick on. The tape would act as a gasket as well as hold on the baseplate.

Make sure there is no gap between the front of the reedplates and the baseplate when assembling.
