Irish Session Diatonic Reed Plates

Post by Paul Sanders » Wed Jul 12, 2017 12:20 am

Hi All,
Great forum interesting bits of information and ideas........I am playing an Irish Session 10 hole Diatonic and enjoy the sound, feel and ease of switching keys and want to continue, so am looking for replacement reed plates or second hand harmonica......if anyone's got any info I'd appreciate hearing from you - note: I have sent an email to Hering but no reply to date......

Regards
Paul...

Hi Paul, Hering are under new management but one thing hasn't changed: their poor communication. Emails go unreplied as often as not.

It's the main reason I stopped dealing with them. For your plates, I suggest teaching yourself how to replace reeds. It will give you much more control over playing the harps you like.

Thanks Brendan - I've been replacing reeds for my other harps for several years now and agree you do achieve greater control over your reed set up and ultimately playing pleasure.

I'll keep an eye on what you come up with next........

Cheers
Paul.
