Blow and Tell ;) Audio/video clips of Brendan's tunings IN USE!

Hey fellow harp players! I thought it might be fun if there was a topic exclusively for sharing clips of any harp playing that you guys/gals are working on! As well as an explanation of the harp/tuning/key/tune info etc....after all the only thing more fun than retuning a harmonica is playing the finished product!

Perhaps no one will be interested but I hope to hear what you other muscicians are working on! :D

Here is a video of me playing "Kitchenaire" from the awesome album, "Lament for the 21st Century".

Here I play it on a Key of C, Hohner CX-12 that I put in Bb P.C. tuning. Im playing with the button in (mostly) so the home key of the tune is B major!

Brendan, I couldn't figure out what harp or tuning you are using on your album....doubtless it's much more expressive and soulful than my rendition here BUT at the very least, this video demonstrates the versatility of power chromatic tuning.

Thanks Paris - I'd completely forgotten writing 'Kitchenaire'!

You play it well! And have inspired me to try and remember it myself :-)

Glad I could help haha! Love that descending 5ths progression of dom7th chords in the middle there! Do you happen to remember what harp you used for the recording? Sounds to me like some sort of X Reed set up.

I posted this before but I thought I'd put it in the 'proper' thread.

Here's a clip of me trying to play Brendan's awesome solos from hesitation blues with Andrew White. Transcribing these solos and working on playing them has really helped me get familiar with PC tuning and its fun! A little rough around the edges but you guys get the idea!

Played in the key(s) of D/Bm on a G - P.C.

Cool playing !
I want to learn any Brendans song but its really hard to me transcribe by the ear..I just made PowerChromatic in G on the previous week by the way:) I really happy with it, sounds great! I made it from Easttop King Dream (great harmonica, i did embossing as i could and it's pretty airtight, not excellent but ok for me), so I want to ask could you lay out notes of any song if you have and if you can of course..
