Re: Is something wrong with the online store?

Hello David or Brendan,

why is it impossible for me to find a form for selection and ordering Lucky13 Paddy Richter in the shop on the website?

Is it discontinued?
Is there something wrong with the website?
Or is the website incompatible to my PC since new?

dear greetings

And what is your job? Theorist or experimentalist?
If I conclude from the harmonica, I guess ...

Re: Keys of Irish songs

And for American fiddle tunes played on a Paddy Richter harmonica I can recommend this book / e-book by Cary Moskovitz: https://carymosk.com/old-time-fiddle-tunes-on-harmonica/ It can be ordered directly from Cary (follow link above) or from Seydel as well: https://www.seydel1847.de/epages/Seydel184...

Re: Keys of Irish songs

That is true. It is an useful practical addition to my theoretical answer to Patric's theoretical question. In fact the dominant use nearly only the keys of D and G and their respective related modes makes that the theoretical question is answered very simple. Follow Brendan's advice and listen and ...

pay attention: the names of the notes follow the German usage,
i.e. h > B, b > Bb, *is > #/sharp, *es,s > b/flat

Re: Keys of Irish songs

Thank you for the link and for the exact numeric evaluation. And what can we learn from this? 2 harmonicas in D and G are way enough, for the biginning anyway, for future in most cases. And this will cover most of the related modes as well. Take a Richter or a Paddy or a Solo / Solo Orchestra - choo...

Re: Seydel Nonslider

As soon as the NonSlider appears in the Configurator, I will jump in. Seydel makes any possible configuration on special request, even if it is not included in the configurator on their website. It only must be possible. This means that all parts which are necassary to configurate the harmonica are...

Re: Seydel Nonslider

I see it now in "Diverse Spare Parts" for "Chromatic" at 69.95 USD "without VAT". I don't know if this means that VAT is yet to be added, or it might mean that no VAT will be added. "without VAT" = no VAT (tax) included - like always for exportation That means you must pay tax in USA (or elsewhere)...

Re: Seydel Nonslider

More simple: Just change the two reed plates against each other. It changes blow-draw-direction as well. If you want to avoid this, choose 2 configurated reed plates where the keys are changed concerning the blow-draw-direction. Keep in mind, that the Sampler has both of the keys on 1 reed plate eac...

Re: Playing Rolls or Turns on Harmonica

And I know one more (physically acoustic!) harmonica on which I can do it. :D And I use it widely. 8-) It is the Hohner Chordomonica II - a nearly forgotten ingenious invention of the well renowned harmonica virtuoso and temporally former chief manager of the Hohner company. It was once right off-th...
