Re: Seydel Nonslider

With appropriate tunings, this could be a slideless/valveless alternative to their Sampler model.

Re: Seydel Nonslider

Q#3: Is the reed interaction of draw bending any different when reeds are above/below each other as opposed to side-by-side?

Triona --

Thanks for your detailed response. Interesting!

As for my own Q#1, I intended "slur" to mean a glissando or smooth overlapping transition from one note to another. This might be a USA usage of the word slur.

Re: Seydel Nonslider

Two questions.... #1. I wonder if this model is therefore capable of a more convincing/overlapping slur between two blow notes of vertical alignment, or of two draw notes of vertical alignment. Any owners trying this? #2. Would/could this new mouthpiece essentially convert a compatible straight-tune...

Re-tuning EDHarmonica to a harmonic/melodic blues tool

Fourteen months ago I was experimenting with re-tunings of EDHarmonica -- which could arguably be called Regular/Repeating Paddy Richter . Today I extended that topic here: https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=652#p3516 Then it occurred to me that that re-tuning -- shown again in ...

This Am/Gm combination gives us a G minor pentatonic blues scale with just one draw-bend required (the D to C#). It also gives us a G ...

Re: Tuning of harmonicaMD ?

Thanks to Edvin and Alan.

It does sound nice.

By the way, at one time Seydel told me that they could custom-tune this 5+5 harp "off menu" , i.e. it is not part of their Configurator.

Tuning of harmonicaMD ?

Do any of you know the exact tuning of Seydel's medicalMD harp? I find the chord diagram confusing. My best guess is:
Blow: E F A C D --- F D G B E
Draw: B C E G A --- C A D B F
