I have just now been attempting to purchase stealth valves and powe combs from the your site, Brendan. It says, 'these products have been discontiued' What's the story?

I don't believe a spring is needed Brendan.Breath will move a small plastic ball easily enough to block or open the hole. I'm working on this....up to clumsy prototype no.5 now.........

The entrapped-ball heart valves are exactly what I had in mind Brendan. I can't seem to find what size they are though; same goes for the duckbill style valves. I am working on this thing, but don't hold your breath!

Many thanks for that Brendan. Yes, I appreciate everything you say there. I have often wondered how the distance from mouth to reed would affect the sound. I tried with a piece of syphon, and yes, it doesn't take much distance for the note to lower in pitch. Anyhow, the ball valve is a nice idea and...
