Re: First position aeolian natural minor custom tuning.

I just found that your tuning can be bought off the shelf from Suzuki! Apparently, when you buy a harp labelled "Natural minor" from Suzuki you won't get the same layout as you would from the other major manufacturers, but the one you described. At least if the following chart is up to date: http://...

Re: Combination tremolo/octave tuning?

I have uploaded some of the sounds corresponding to my pictures. A normal tremolo, the very same as is shown in my last post with the name trem.png sounds like this: https://cloud.fripost.org/s/SRXxTRgDG57BzWM In all the rest of the examples, there are two tones tuned a perfect octave apart, and eac...

Re: TuneMaster harmonica

One idea would be to drill holes in the cover plates above each magnet, so that it could be adjusted without removing the cover plate. This would facilitate quick adjustments. Another option would be to selectively drill holes for frequently changed notes. I got the idea after seeing Brendan's proto...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi folks, My name is Robert Laferriere, and I'm from Russell, Manitoba, Canada. 🇨🇦 I've been playing the harp for about 10 years now, although only in any serious way for the past 3 or 4. I've somewhat transitioned from being primarily a guitar-based loop station performer, to a sound that heavily ...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor

I received mine today! After some initial testing, I have some comments. 1: IT'S AWESOME! I can configure it to standard harmonic minor or standard natural minor, but more interesting are the scales which are not available as standard tunings: first position mixolydian, first position natural minor ...

Re: Combination tremolo/octave tuning?

And just for reference, normal interference between two tones works like this: interference.png The red lines are tones which are almost the same frequency, and the black is their sums. Sometimes the red ones line up, resulting in strong oscillations of the total, and sometimes they cancel each othe...

Re: Combination tremolo/octave tuning?

I'm not sure precisely what you are referring to, but my best guess is that you ask for a harmonica that has two notes, one octave apart, with a tone that beats like a tremolo harmonica. In a normal tremolo, there are only two notes that interact, and only one parameter to consider, namely the diffe...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor

But did you consider, that if you change bottom to top and vice versa, you will change right and left as well? And that the length of the reeds get shorter from left to right? The incessions in the coverplates seem to have different length, fitting to the length of the respective reed, not to talk ...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor

*) edit: This is an error. I talked to Florian once more to resolve my misunderstanding. Exceptionally and different from former "harmonicas of the month" this offer will be dispatched at once, as long as on stock. When sold out, they will produce some more till end of June or July, if there will b...
