Re: MODULAR-REED HARMONICA - Released!

Hi Rishio, We have Paddy-Richter Extended. This is the same as ED Tuning but starts one hole to the right. I've used it for a long time, and recorded with it on some tracks of "New Chinese Harmonica". For example, Track 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjlIZLiFETg @Brendan, If I want to order a P...

Thanks Sachlaw! I'm really glad you like the Modular-Reed harp for its playability, as well as the obvious reed-swapping ability 🙂 May we post your review on our Feedback page?
Yes. You have my permission.

Re: MODULAR-REED HARMONICA - Released!

Good afternoon all. My first impression of the Modular Reed Harp (is there an acronym for that?) is that it is probably one of the most responsive of all the harps I have in my kit now, and I am comparing it to some pricey, tuned up harps. I bought an Ab (power bender tuning with the reed set to con...

Re: PowerChromatic in G - why does it start with an A Blow note

@thronmad -good point. I myself keep this tuning at multiple start points over different keys. A cheaper way than using the Seydel selector is picking up a Lucky 13 PC and converting to a different key with just a few changes so the repeated pitches (i.e. the D/D on the C) are further up on the harp...

Re: Blowdown with Will Wilde: Comparison of two Tunings

Thanks... It's interesting to compare the Wilde Rock and PowerBender tunings, each has strong and weak points - as with all tunings! PB & Wilde Tunings.png Will got in touch with me to ask about PowerBender and PowerDraw when he was working on his own tuning. He liked both and has kept the top ...

Re: PowerBender key choice; Recommendation of Lucky 13 Model

@Marlaz, I would also recommend the Lucky 13 version of the Eb PowerBender. I recently purchased the same one myself to work on Taj Mahal's "Leavin' Trunk, which is in Bb. As you go above the key of C on those harps, it is even easier to work the three bass notes. Loads of fun. Also, I am glad you a...

Re: Lucky 13 Power Chromatic key of D

Thanks for both posts which helped clear up my confusion and which should get me started on the PB/PC. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I also recommend getting your PB in the same key as your PC. That really helped me on picking up tunes, because whatever melody I work on, I can try to...

Which CD do you mean by this?

Re: Lucky 13 Power Chromatic key of D

Thanks for your reply and the links. The Lucky 13 PC is fine OOTB (which I’ve just learned means ‘out of the box”). The link to the thread is helpful. I might be misunderstanding but that thread, except for towards the end, seems to be more about the Power Chromatic and not the Lucky 13 PC... Any a...
