Re: Seydel 1847 Slipslider Project
Fascinating stuff! As I explore embedding magnets into my 3d prints for more than just fastening and mounting purposes, I’m sure there are going to be a lot of options that I just hadn’t considered. Great work, Dominick! I’ve got some initial reactions that I think might be useful, but I’m trying to...

Hypothetical Multi-Reed Chamber Interaction
Before I go too far down this rabbit hole, I wanted to run a few hypotheticals past the group, just to see if my hypothesis is correct… Someone here might be able to confirm my suspicious so I don’t have to go ahead and design and print a device that would allow me to test it. Both of these hypothet...

Re: X-HARPS : Personal Experimental Harmonica Project
These recordings are all really cool. It seems like there's a lot of hidden potential in there. I'm excited to see and hear how this project continues to develop!

Re: creating my own AutoValve
This is an interesting idea... I have plenty of thoughts. :D But will they be useful thoughts? I've done a lot of work on AutoValve harps for other people. That "trapezoidal" shaped comb presents a bunch of challenges, and I've built jigs to hold the darn thing "level" when converting them ove...

Re: The best glue for valves?
I've used Krazy Glue or othebrsuper glue for a long time. Honestly, on my own harmonicas I still use it, because it sets fast, and I'm usually trying to fix one or two valves and get back to playing quickly. For chromatics that I do for other people, which will likely require future routine valve ch...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hah! Apparently it didn't take me as long to find this forum than I thought. It just took another 5 years to remember that I'd found it once before! Well, since then I've certainly learned a lot! Hi folks, My name is Robert Laferriere, and I'm from Russell, Manitoba, Canada. 🇨🇦 I've been playing the...

Re: PowerCombs 2023
I've updated my own 10-hole chromatic with a Power Comb, and retrofitted many other people's 12 and 16-hole chromatics with Power Combs. Everyone loves them! If you're going to replace or repair a broken wooden chromatic comb anyway, going with a Power Comb instead is a no-brainer. Improved playabil...

Re: Introduce yourself
Greetings, folks! I can't believe it took me this long to find this forum and get myself registered! My name is Rob, and I live in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. I've been fascinated with all of Brendan's harmonica inventions since I first encountered them more than 10 years ago. I started playing P...
