cleaning half-valved Lucky 13’s

I usually use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean all of my non-valved harmonicas. Can I do the same with the half-valved Lucky 13’s?

Thanks for your help and any other suggestions.

Double Paddy?

I read someplace about someone playing a Lucky 13 tuned Double Paddy? What is the tuning layout?

Thanks.

Re: PowerBender/PowerDraw/PowerChromatic for Irish?

Hi Brendan, Thanks for taking the time to reply with your thoughts and your history with this idea and the musical examples. I play button accordion with no bending capabilities. I am enjoying learning and discovering the great emotional pleasure of bending notes on the harmonica. Could you add a li...

PowerBender/PowerDraw/PowerChromatic for Irish?

I use a D/C# chromatic, D and G Lucky 13’s and a D Easy Third for Irish and Quebecois tunes. Each gives a different personality to the music. Has anyone tried and posted their thoughts on using any of the Power harmonicas for this music? I can bend notes but not quickly nor cleanly enough to play ma...

Re: creating my own AutoValve

Robert, Thanks for taking the time to respond with answers, suggestions, chromatic harmonica structure education and advice about the two Seydel models. I had forgotten that some chromatics alternate between top and bottom. The chromatics I have (Hohner Hering, Seydel) don’t. I have two Autovalves f...

creating my own AutoValve

My idea is to build an Autovalve-style harmonica using a chromatic, replacing one reed plate with another in the same key as the remaining plate and then removing the slide. For example, taking two G chromatics, removing the G# reed plate from then the G from the other and putting the two G plates t...
