Re: Slide Diatonic tuning ideas for blues and rock: "Wilde Slide" Tuning
One thing that occurred to me yesterday is that you can get very similar, but not quite the same bending enharmonic effects by either tuning the slide-in to the same tuning, but a whole step down, or the same tuning but a fifth up. Since both of those keys are closely related to the home key of the ...

Re: Bluesy slide-harp tuning
Speaking of "emulators" This I think was another Suyash Kumar idea, you could have slide-in emulate a slipslider slide left, so all draw reeds in the upper octave now bend. RICHTER slide in: G. C. E. G. C. E. G. C. E. G. BLOW. C. E. G. C. E. G. C. E. G. C DRAW. D. G. B. D. F. A. B. D. F. A slide in:...

Re: JDR Trochilus: A Look inside and its potential as a customizing platform
A "switch harp / double chromatic" for these might be a lot of fun.
What's better than two bendable diatonic harps stacked on top of one another? Four bendable diatonic harps stacked on top of one another!

Re: Bluesy slide-harp tuning
I think we might start seeing a lot more of these cool slide diatonic tunings now that the average-joe diatonic player is starting to warm up to these 10 hole chromatics.

And also here: https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=876 It looks like we landed on nearly the same slide tuning for the first 5 holes of richter :-) The cool thing with these newer cheaper, smaller chromatics is that these tunings now become a lot more practical. To Brendan's poi...

Slide Diatonic tuning ideas for blues and rock: "Wilde Slide" Tuning
While retuning my Trochilus in A to Wilde Tuning, I thought, rather than creating a typical chromatic, maybe I should create a "slide diatonic" tuning where the slide-in functions pretty much exclusively as auxiliary enharmonics and bends that would not normally be present on a typical diatonic. For...

Re: Ideas for changing a diatonic harp tuning on the fly
Fully working magnetic "chromaslide" prototype video https://youtu.be/B2W5BN9jHKw In this video I give a quick demo of using the slider to switch immediately to a minor tuned harp. Then I open the thing up and show how it works. I'm still making more magnets. This weekend I'll have it working where...

Re: JDR Trochilus: A Look inside and its potential as a customizing platform
BTW: Is this part called "slide" or "slider" in correct English? I have seen both of them. I don't know either! I think they are both acceptable. You are right, the reeds are welded :-( I did not catch that. Comparing the Trochilus reedplate with the EastTop T10-40 reedplate, you could probably tak...
