Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
But did you consider, that if you change bottom to top and vice versa, you will change right and left as well? And that the length of the reeds get shorter from left to right? The incessions in the coverplates seem to have different length, fitting to the length of the respective reed, not to talk ...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
*) edit: This is an error. I talked to Florian once more to resolve my misunderstanding. Exceptionally and different from former "harmonicas of the month" this offer will be dispatched at once, as long as on stock. When sold out, they will produce some more till end of June or July, if there will b...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
Seems to be plenty of possibilities to experiment with. The mixolydian scale in first position is only one, but a very interesting variation. If top and bottom coverplates are interchangeable is a thing that is to try and to prove. But maybe it will not work, depending on the direction of the slide...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
I didn't think of it at first, but of course this would also let you play a Mixolydian scale in first position! Lol...And maybe set top coverplate on the bottom and vice verse  As crazy as it sounds, this could actually have uses! You could take a country tuned harp and switch back and forth to...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
NEAT! I'm buying one right away! :D There are so many minor modes that it's impractical to keep one harp for each, especially one in every key! If this works as advertised you can play major, natural minor, harmonic minor and Dorian, and maybe maybe, with practice, even shift between ascending and d...

Re: Paddy richter slide diatonic creation
I cannot answer your questions about the particular hardware, airtightness etc., but your plan for the tuning looks right :) To make the G slide diatonic (SD), you just raise 3B on the G harp one full step from standard Richter, and the modification of the A harp isn't too difficult either: Differen...

Re: Paddy Richter to replace Standard Richter?
I play Paddy Richter as my main tuning, and occasionally use standard Richter for special purposes. The two main reasons I can see not to switch to Paddy are 1: You lose much of the classical blues stuff, like some tongue blocking techniques and octaves. 2: First position major tunes will have less ...

Re: LOOKING FOR LEKHOLM DM 48 PITCH BENDER
While you wait, I recommend checking the bending settings, if you haven't already done so. You can change both the threshold and the "shape" of the bending sensitivity, and thus achieve better response than factory settings

Alternative harmonica holders
I got inspired to start this thread after seeing that Seydel apparently started to stock these: https://www.footdrums.com/product/gecko-harp-holder/#configuration They differ from other harmonica holders I know of in several aspects, and the ones I find most interesting are these: 1) There is a "mem...
