I have decided, for now, that the "August 28" tuning (above) and its 10- and 13-hole variants will go by the name "Chug-Harp".

What if the reed blocks were slightly wedge-shaped, and slid into a slot with a gasket on the comb side? This picture shows a very exaggerated sense of the shape I envision.

UPDATE / TEASER:

At this time, one world-class customizer and one world-class performer (that I know about) are now experimenting with this line of tunings. Videos are in the works.
