Re: Lucky 13 powerchromatic vs Seydel Soloist pro 12

Maybe worth contacting Brendan direct as mine came from him in the UK not direct from China.

Re: Lucky 13 powerchromatic vs Seydel Soloist pro 12

Either the lowest note of the bottom octave, or high note of the top octave. So in the key of G the Solist actually starts on A3 on blow 1 in order to include G6 at blow 12 (and goes up to A6 on the draw 12 as the draw note is higher). The extra hole on the lucky 13 allows G3 on blow 1 up to A6 on d...

Re: beginner harp for irish/folk

My harmonica has arrived I couldn’t wait any longer so as soon as I heard the package made it to the local post office I ran up to get it. They hadn’t even sorted yet, said it was still on pallet but they went and dug it out for me! Haha although I am a little worried when I move the harmonica arou...

Re: Harmonicas with Modular Reedplates

I agree with Lizzy about scoping the demand. Assuming it would be cheaper than buying multiple harmonicas, from a players perspective it is a great idea as it allows beginners (me) and experienced players alike to try different tunings. As a beginner my first harp was a richter C diatonic - pretty s...

Re: NEW HARPS: Lucky 13 in Solo and PowerChromatic Tunings

Hi Brendan, can you let me know if the G power chromatic starts on G3 and the D on D4?

Plus on your site you can only order the power chromatic in C and G (same as the solo)?

Cheers Dan

Re: NEW HARPS: Lucky 13 in Solo and PowerChromatic Tunings

I am right that in power chromatic the bends are what you call a half step on a standard richter diatonic? For every octave, with power chromatic you get 8 notes plus 4 with bends compared to 8 plus 2 on solo tunning - is that right? If yes, with power chromatic you only lose 1 of the 13 notes in an...
