Re: A family of new modded-Richter tunings
UPDATE : Today I became aware of a tuning which is in some ways quite similar to those of mine above. See http://www.harpelite.com/catalog/en/custom/382-blueharp-blues-chord-harmonica.html . At first glance I notice two important differences. One is that the BlueHarp Blues Chord Harmonica has re-en...

Re: Blues tuning for 10-hole harp--now with DIAGRAM
UPDATE: I'm dusting off and re-introducing this tuning for three reasons. One reason is that my method of diagramming tunings has improved. Another reason is that Brendan Power has mentioned (in an email communication) that he is working on an Overblow Booster which would be compatible with "regula...

Re: Pentatonic tunings
Fun stuff:
A Seydel Big Six in Pentabender will give you one complete chromatic octave plus the next two semitones.

Re: Pentatonic tunings
My aforementioned post began with: "NAME: "Black badge tuning". (Can you see why?)" It is because the five draw notes--which can be draw-bent to their flat "black note" accidentals--are D, E, G, A and B. Therefore, the black/flatted draw bends of (rearranged) BADGE. Or simply "Black badge". For sure...

Re: THE TWO "DO IT!" POSTS, ABOVE
I have created a separate thread dedicated to discussing the two (or more?) versions of Dale King's "Do it!" tuning. That thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=255

Different versions of "Do it! / Easy 3rd" tuning
Recently I was looking into “Easy 3rd / Do It!” tuning. In this post: http://www.brendan-power.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&p=1481&sid=7a9acd6a1bbbd4fbd1a0f32f9c84fdb8#p1480 I noted that: “Sources on the web show some disagreement as to the 7 draw note. For C major tuning, some show it as a B, and ot...

“Easy 3rd / Do it!” tuning, by Dale King
NOTE: Sources on the web show some disagreement as to the 7 draw note. For C major tuning, some show it as a B, and others show a D. Please PM IaNerd if you can clarify this.
