... the dual draw and blow turboslide design. Is this the bottom side of the comb in the picture? And were is the reedplate? I can not recognize it. The "integrated plastic spring" worked That was what I did expect, because on Jim Antaki's Turboharp it is working as well. slider spring mechanism wo...

Re: Ideas for changing a diatonic harp tuning on the fly
I might have to speak with a Seydel rep though, looks like the replacement covers are 30 bucks a pop if I buy them individually. I know that they are not cheap. But it seems they cost twice as much in the US than in Germany - not including salestax. :o And there are 5-packs for 100$ as well. They a...

Re: Ideas for changing a diatonic harp tuning on the fly
Regarding the drawplate turboslide, I am making progress. Ultimately the standard coverplate clearance just isn't enough space to make everything work, but on the upside I created a 1mm spacer for the coverplate to sit on and that seems to be doing well. Why not use the higher coverplates from the ...

Re: Seydel 1847 Slipslider Project
That is exactly the same what I have experienced over decades. And I always found it quite bizarre too. I always considered those people as "concrete-minded puristic fundamentalists". But most of them consider me as a quirky outsider not to be taken serious anyway. As far as it is concerning myself,...

Re: 3d Printed comb ideas to improve responsiveness
I have a few more ideas to try on this comb as well, but I have three or four other project ideas in the works as well, but I need to remember to keep a reasonable amount of my time alotment to actually playing harmonica as well :-) Me too. So it might take a few day until I have sorted all the pic...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello Burke, welcome here. I have some neck problems due to cancer when I was an infant and spent a long time looking for the best neck holder. The best one I have found (and I have no affiliation) is from Farmer's Foot Drums here: https://www.footdrums.com/product/gecko-harp-holder/. The Farmer / S...

Here you have the layout of a chrom with straight slide and one with zig-zag slide in comparison: Chrom, C solo, straight slide All notes of C on the top reedplate, all notes of C# on the bottom. Any blow reed is located besides its respective draw reed. https://up.picr.de/47100196hf.jpg obere Stimm...

Re: 3d Printed comb ideas to improve responsiveness
How many reeds did you place in each semi-hole? Is it a 10/20- or a 20/40-harmonica? What is your note layout like? I really wish I could read German now! This could be no mistake. ;) Germany and Austria are the countries where the harmonica had been invented before it conquered the world. And it is...

Re: Ideas for changing a diatonic harp tuning on the fly
Regarding TEMU, you don’t have to buy it there, as far as i know it is also sold by bushman (under Game Changer name) in US and i have seen some serious people reviewing it (Winslow for example), it seems to be a decent product at least. I did not mean the harmonica, which I am not in doubt of. I j...
