Nice!
Great playing.
Thanks
I like the idea of your instruction pack including jianpu notation. That makes it useful for transferring the lesson to any tuning or instrument. And jianpu is so logical it’s easier to learn than tab or standard notation.

Re: urgently searched sparepart
If Brendan doesn’t have any you might be able to fit a Hohner 260 slide on it.

Re: Harmonicas with Modular Reedplates
I would be interested in one that used accordion reeds. If you can make a comb for those, I’ll buy one. For a regular diatonic with regular reeds, probably not. Solder and a file get the job done for me. Now, if I could chose to have all the chambers long, and put Seydel or Hohner Low reeds all the ...

Re: Any news?
I like the cover idea, possibly incorporating a pair of tension bars. I’m going to look for a cheap harp and chop it up. I carve wooden covers, mostly for chromatics, but often for diatonics. I could probably make one that can provide the pressure to a bar that can hold the plates in. If so, you mig...

Re: Any news?
If the comb can be simplified and printed with maybe a bar to hold the plates down and the plates can be produced in bulk at the required frequency I would think this would be a very flexible method. Just buy the comb and the plates and then mix and match at will. It would be a lot of fun and simpli...

Re: Pentatonic tunings
Great information. Thank you. Lots of things to try here! I might have to break out my file and soldering iron and give a pentablues harp a try. I wish I could go to SPAH and listen to you and Jazzmaan play your pentatunings and get some advice. And see Brendan, and,.... Maybe some year... August is...

Re: beginner harp for irish/folk
On Brendan’s website you can still order the 10 hole Suzuki pro master in Paddy Richter Or for a bit less get the Lucky 13 and just ignore those first three holes for a bit. Seydel offers 10 hole Paddy Richter harmonicas Or if you have a tuner and a small file you can turn any harmonica into a Paddy...

You can put them back in. Or leave them out.
They do fine at the ends because they are under the covers.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome aboard!
Anyone who has not tried 4-key or pentabender should give it a shot.
If nothing else it’s lots of fun, intuitive noodling around, and some interesting sounds.
