Re: Modular Reed mini shruti box?
Check out this video: https://youtu.be/9D4Rc5s-_jQ    I really can not recommend to treat a shrutibox with a coarse file like that. And neither I would recommend to do this after a vague examination of the reason of the buzzing like this, by pure guessing where the buzzing migh...

Re: Modular Reed mini shruti box?
I play my Modular Harp from the beginning with a drone tuning. It is working very well. And it is the main purpose I am using it for beside experimentation with new tunings.
I will work out the layout one of the next daxs and show it here.

Re: Diminished Tuning Another Key
Hey guys. Is this harmonica good for beginners? https://www.awkwardsound.com/hohner-marine-band-special-20-5-piece-pro-pack-review/ Yes. Btw: It would have been better if you would have opened a new thread for this. It has nothing to do with diminished tunings. And those are definitely not very sui...

Re: Is something wrong with the online store?
Hello David or Brendan,
why is it impossible for me to find a form for selection and ordering Lucky13 Paddy Richter in the shop on the website?
Is it discontinued?
Is there something wrong with the website?
Or is the website incompatible to my PC since new?

Re: Keys of Irish songs
And for American fiddle tunes played on a Paddy Richter harmonica I can recommend this book / e-book by Cary Moskovitz: https://carymosk.com/old-time-fiddle-tunes-on-harmonica/ It can be ordered directly from Cary (follow link above) or from Seydel as well: https://www.seydel1847.de/epages/Seydel184...

Re: Keys of Irish songs
That is true. It is an useful practical addition to my theoretical answer to Patric's theoretical question. In fact the dominant use nearly only the keys of D and G and their respective related modes makes that the theoretical question is answered very simple. Follow Brendan's advice and listen and ...

Circle of Fifths containing all modal scales:
double click for opening the picture
pay attention: the names of the notes follow the German usage,
i.e. h > B, b > Bb, *is > #/sharp, *es,s > b/flat

Re: Keys of Irish songs
Thank you for the link and for the exact numeric evaluation. And what can we learn from this? 2 harmonicas in D and G are way enough, for the biginning anyway, for future in most cases. And this will cover most of the related modes as well. Take a Richter or a Paddy or a Solo / Solo Orchestra - choo...
