Re: An easy, chord-enriching mod of a Lucky 13 Solo

Taking the above idea a little further ....

We can change every F to an F#. This puts the whole tuning into a G major context:

An easy, chord-enriching mod of a Lucky 13 Solo

We can start with a Lucky 13 that is factory-tuned in Solo tuning , and by altering just five reeds, produce the following: I chord (Cmaj) ii chord (Dmin) iii chord (Emin) - NEW IV chord (Fmaj) - NEW V chord (Gmaj) - NEW vi chord (Amin) – NEW vii° chord (Bdim) https://www.brendan-power.com/forum/dow...

Re: An easy, chord-enriching mod of a Lucky 13 PowerChromatic

When Super-Circular is truncated as in the post above, the vi chord (shown as Amin in this example) loses its root note. We can regain a full triad of the vi chord if we now raise the 6 blow note by two semitones . This change is shown below. While we are at it, we might also choose to raise the 6 d...

An easy, chord-enriching mod of a Lucky 13 PowerChromatic

In this post: http://www.brendan-power.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=212&start=50#p1633 , I introduced a new tuning which I have since dubbed “Super-Circular” because it is a variant of Circular/Spiral tuning. In that same post I began to explore the many chord progressions which could be played wit...

Re: A family of new modded-Richter tunings

C major scale: From 2 draw to 11 blow (two octaves), plus three more contiguous notes after this. A minor scale: From 5 blow to 9 draw (one octave...

Re: Applications for Alan's "Modular Chord Harmonica"

So let’s tally up all of the chords in a slide harp where where Super-Circular in Cmaj is paired with Super-Circular in Emaj, i.e. exactly four half-steps higher:

Re: Applications for Alan's "Modular Chord Harmonica"

Please refer to the post above, at Tue Jan 01, 2019 11:14 am . The second diagram of that post shows Super-Circular in the key of E. If we think about its Emajor chord as being a III chord (relative to the upper diagram in Cmajor), then we get this: http://www.brendan-power.com/forum/download/file.p...
