Valves
Brendan..... I read a while back that you was trying a new valve material. Was it good or not to your satisfaction?

Re: Tuning chromatic
Thanks for all tips :D I have used that battery engraver for a long time now, small, very handy and easy to operate. I use powerchromatic so i only use valves on one side which make it easier. Only need to find a longer and better reed lifter or simply use the battery engraver without any support. T...

Re: Tuning chromatic
Crawford....this was also my approach but was curious if there was anyone else who had a different method. Have tuned diatonic several years but are new to chromatic. A chromatic also have 2 reeds in each chamber and valves which differs from standard diatonic.

Tuning chromatic
Do you tune your chromatic with the reedplates screwed on or do you just hold the reedplate with your fingers on the comb? The option to plink the reed to settle after a slight tuning is not avaiable if the reedplate is screwed. Another question...If no one else have Seydel deluxe steel maybe Brenda...

Re: NEW HARPS: Lucky 13 in Solo and PowerChromatic Tunings
A good tip and i have no problem to use soldering...thanks! :) I have not yet decided what i want to do with my Lucky 13 in G. Are still waiting for them to arrive. My Lucky 13 in D have just arrived but i prefer it higher. The two first holes are hardly bendable and i like to use all bends. With PC...

Re: NEW HARPS: Lucky 13 in Solo and PowerChromatic Tunings
Yes Sachlaw, i have Soloist pro 12 in C. I have often C as a orientation point because of my weak theory mind...lol And i now also frequently compare it with my powerbender tuning and tranfer my solos and scales to powerchromatic. However, i have not looked at Lucky 13 yet to compare it with Soloist...

Re: NEW HARPS: Lucky 13 in Solo and PowerChromatic Tunings
The PowerChromatic tuning was a nice surprise to me. After have played with it a few hours with a couple of different scales it now flows very easy when improvising. Only one semitone bend on each hole also simplifies it. I have only played with Seydel soloist pro 12 for now (embossed and now valved...

Re: Lucky 13 powerchromatic vs Seydel Soloist pro 12
Thanks! :D ...i got the Soloist pro in the mail yesterday and played a couple of hours today fiddling around with it and just tried to get the feeling of it. It sure helps to have played powerbender before. I also translated some of my old solos to powerchromatic to get a better view of blow/draw no...
