Blues tuning **with 7ths** for 10-hole harp

NAME: Not yet sure. Maybe "7th Heaven Blues"? BASIC CONCEPT: For blues in G, it sure would be nice to have the full I, IV and V chords , as well as their dom7 variants as well as at least one full and proper G minor hexatonic "blues" scale . The "standard" Richter diatonic harp lacks many of these p...

Similar... yes, that is fair to say.

When you have played the Suzuki for a while, please share your assessment with us or me.

Cheers.

Re: All 24 major and minor triad chords in 12-hole slide harp

Suzuki offers a 14-hole "chromatic" chord slide harmonica which has more chords than this (e.g. augmented chords). My approach to the tuning has some similarities and some distinct differences. I expect that users with access to both might disagree as to which one is easier or more intuitive to lear...

All 24 major and minor triad chords in 12-hole slide harp

NAME: Major/Minor Chord King. BASIC IDEA: Some folks want or need major and minor chords for harmonic play. In this 12-hole slide harmonica, ALL 12 major triads and ALL 12 minor triads are available in a pocket-sized instrument. HOW/WHEN: This is a natural extension of what I was posting to this for...

Re: Sixteen-chord tuning for 12-hole harp (or pair of six-holers)

Addendum #1: There are multiple ways of eliminating two channels (e.g. channels 1 and 7, or channels 6 and 12) and still retain as many as 12 chords in a standard 10-hole harp model.

Sixteen-chord tuning for 12-hole harp (or pair of six-holers)

NAME: This is my earlier "Chord Buddy" idea all grown up, therefore: "Super Chord Buddy". BASIC CONCEPT: For harmony/backup play. WHEN/HOW: August of 2017. I have not yet had one of these made, but intend to do so soon. LAYOUT: This could be one 12-hole harp (e.g. Solist Pro), or it could be a serie...

Re: Power Chromatic

I see that Seydel's Configurator can specify PowerChromatics down to LB (B2, 123Hz). Would this tuning function well in that low register?

PowerChromatic modded for more chords

NAME: (Don't know yet.) BASIC CONCEPT: PowerChromatic is a phenomenal achievement in terms of playing expressively in a variety of keys, including but not restricted to Gmaj, Dmaj, Bmin and G “blues.” As I study it, I can see that PowerChromatic’s chordal capabilities can be enhanced considerably by...
