Re: What Would You Like to See?

Maybe your favorite 10 or 20: Irish Scottish Chinese Japanese Indian Middle Eastern Eastern European Include a Short description of the tune. Your preferred harp tuning to play it w...

Re: Currently available paddy richter harmonica

Tremolo harps are nice for melodies, no missing notes with the Suzuki, Tombo, and Easttops in Asian tuning (some have the bottom few holes set up for chords though). Hohners and some Seydel are Richter tuned. Tremolos are fun, but just don't seem to have the expression you can get out out of a singl...

Re: Currently available paddy richter harmonica

Maybe there is a new version of the slide diatonic coming? It is way too cool of idea to let slide. 😐 Rockin Ron and New Harmonica both stock Paddy Richter harps. I just built myself a slide diatonic Harmonic minor harp out of an old Koch C harp. It's a lot of fun to try and play middle eastern and ...

Re: Stretch Harps

Nice idea. I bet you could get Andrew Zajac to make you combs to fit. http://harp.andrewzajac.ca/Combs From his site: Contact me about making a comb for your model harmonica. No extra fee applied - combs for most "sandwich-style" harmonicas offered at regular prices. I have a couple of his combs and...

Re: Lucky 13 in PowerBender, PowerDraw & Paddy Richter

The double paddy harps sound fun, I would like a G.
A harmonic minor would be great too!
I recently "paddified" a regular harmonic minor harp and am having a blast noodling around on it.

Re: Anyone Playing the Turboslide?

I've thought about one and may give in and try one some day (unless a new x-reed harp comes out first) What do you think of a turbo slide, solo tuned, but the first duplicate tonic replaced with the sixth? I think Gnarley calls it C6, or A-bop. I seems it would be a simple transition to or from a no...

Re: Why this Forum?

I'm happy to be Here. Thanks for starting this up.
I'm a fan of Paddy Richter, half valving, alternative tunings, and just about anything having to do with making music on the little things.
