Blow and Tell ;) Audio/video clips of Brendan's tunings IN USE!

Hey fellow harp players! I thought it might be fun if there was a topic exclusively for sharing clips of any harp playing that you guys/gals are working on! As well as an explanation of the harp/tuning/key/tune info etc....after all the only thing more fun than retuning a harmonica is playing the fi...

Re: PowerChromatic: The 12 Major Scales with Bends ; Setup Advice

Thanks! Love those solos! They lay over the chords so nicely I figured it was worth studying. I'll definitely have to bug my brother-in-law to do the guitar part.

https://youtu.be/wZG3p1kscc0 Here's a clip of me trying to play Brendan's awesome solos from hesitation blues with Andrew White. Transcribing these solos and working on playing them has really helped me get familiar with PC tuning and its fun! A little rough around the edges but you guys get the ide...

Re: Power Chromatic

Brendan,
How would you say the easttop dreamer compares to the chromatix scx-48 or the cx12 in general quality?

I would like to try an Easttop for converting to PC but I want to make sure its a quality harp or i'll just stick with the chromatix or cx12, which i love!

Thanks!

Re: Asia bend, Auto Valve comb and the Lucky 13!!

Does anyone know which easttop chromatic Brendan is using for his current Asiabend? Love the Asiabend and want to get the stock C chromatic and convert it to a Bb power-chromatic (scale proper starting on 4 blow). Very fun and effective PC key for having fun with Dm blues! 5th position i think that ...

Re: instruction book cds for power-bender

http://www.brendan-power.com/instructio ... owerbender

That page has an option for the book only.
A lot of Brendan's Power Chromatic licks from his recordings also transfers over nicely to the PowerBender harps, as the middle octave is identical to a PC harp.
Anyways, Have Fun!

Re: Power Chromatic

A little while ago I bought an SCX-48 in the key of A and tuned it to G(PC) and half-valved it. Absolutely love it! Very responsive and airtight even if you don't emboss it. Helps a lot to minimize blow reed gaps.

Looking forward to that power chromatic video Brendan!
