Just discovered the excellent quality and sound of the KongSheng diatonics.

I see on your site you mention that you have Gasket Valves for the KongSheng Solist, but do you also have them for the KongSheng Mars model?

Confirmed! It took about 4 hours today to make all the subtle changes to fit a Gasket-Valve set for the Mars. The comb is quite different inside to the Amazing 20. A nice design and injection moulding job, well done to Kongsheng.

Thanks for the Gasket Valves for the Kongsheng MARS. I half-valved a set of 6.

The GAsket Valves are very easy to insert, as the plates for the Kongsheng MARS are recessed in the mold so the Valves just fit in snuggly, no need to guess if they are aligned properly. Was a bit trickier with the Kongsheng Solist model.

My first impressions of the Gasket Valves:

• Much easier to half-valve the harp as apposed to gluing in each individual valve. Took about the same time to half-valve the entire harp as it takes me to glue in one valve the old way.

• I did hear a little buzz on a few of the low notes on one or two of the harps. But this has seemed to have disappeared. Although once or twice that buzz re-appeared. I wonder what I have to do to fix this?

• I think the true test of the Gasket Valves will be in their longevity.

• I wonder if one valve goes, will I have to replace the entire Gasket?
