An easy, chord-enriching mod of a slide or non-slide 12- or 16-hole Solo-tuned harp

We can start with a slide or non-slide, 12- or 16-hole harp in
Solo tuning, and by altering just five reeds, produce the following:
I chord (Cmaj)
ii chord (Dmin)
iii chord (Emin)
- NEW
IV chord (Fmaj)
- NEW
V chord (Gmaj)
- NEW
vi chord (Amin)
– NEW
vii° chord (Bdim)
ADDENDUM ON JANUARY 23: If the 6 draw is raised to a G, we create another Cmaj chord in the draw layer.

If the tuning above was part of a slide harp, and if the player needed
a few more chords, then the six channels below might provide those needed chords on the low end of the slide-in layer.
Note that this tuning requires altering seven reeds of a Solo-tuned harp.

II chord (Dmaj)

bIII chord (Ebmaj)

Taking the top idea (two posts above this one) a little further ....
We can change a few more notes and recast the whole tuning into a G major context:

This one takes the idea above one small step further. A total of eight reeds are retuned--by either one or two semitones each.

Hello Patrick
Thanks for your work with alternate tunings.
Can you represent these tunings please:
Regards Kniri

In my post of
Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:59 am (above), we see how changing eight reeds of a 12- or 16-hole
Solo-tuned slide or non-slide harp--initially in C tuning--can be converted to a chord-rich harp in the key of G.
Using those exact same reed changes,
we can start with a Solo-tuned harp in the key of F and create a chord-rich harp in the key of C.

In the post of
Tue Jan 22, 2019 2:08 pm (above), my goal was squeeze “a few more chords” out of the first six channels. And so I did, relying on intuition to help me make the changes shown in that post.
But now I revisit that goal,
this time with more nuance. Now I wish to derive from the first six channels
those chords which would maximally help achieve the chord progressions shown in the chart below. In that chart, we see that adding
Dmajor is highly important. Also important, though less so, would be to add
Gminor and
Bminor. Least important—according to that table—would be to add an
Amajor.
I fiddled with the stock Solo tuning and
could not find a good way to fit all four of the chords mentioned just above. So I opted for the three most important, i.e.
Dmajor,
Gminor and
Bminor. The diagram below shows how these three chords—
plus some bonus chords—can be added.
i chord (Cmin) -

II chord (
Dmaj) –

bIII chord (Ebmaj) -

bv chord (F#min) -

v chord (

bVII chord (Bbmaj) –

vii chord (

I now see that the table of chord progressions in the post just above this one includes a number of redundancies. In this post I offer a much-improved table.
Chord progressions which can be achieved
with the tuning of
Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:49 pm (above) and
without any of the "slide-in layer" chords of the tuning of
Sat Jan 26, 2019 5:06 pm are shown below in
italics.
Chord progressions that are
not shown in
italics require one or more of the chords of the tuning of
Sat Jan 26, 2019 5:06 pm.
