Hello all !

I permit myself to post this message in the forum of Brendan, because I believe I know enough Bredan to be pretty sure that himself he would be ready to push for it and help Neil Warren for the "Formidable" things he is trying to do...
This is something not easy to install when you are not really known, but if people who have all the respect of everyone like NHL help Neil to realize it...then it becomes possible and very efficient !!!

SO !!! Have you seen the UK harmonica Gig list that Neil Warren maintains ?!!! This is quite new in UK...

You can believe me...this is a very hard experience to maintain such calendar because I do the same for about 6 or 7 years in France, for french speaking area Europe ( http://harmonicacontact.com/Agendas/Francophonie.html ) ...

I speak as a NHL member myself, because I am also very interrested to see the harmonica life in UK. I come every year to Bristol... I made friends here...

This is something quite efficient to help people to keep the harmonica life dynamic in a country by helping people to highlight the events that ones is trying to create in its area. Even if the guy, the woman is not known, he/she can make his/her event known... Something central, like NHL is able to do to encourage people to keep the harmonica alive, and why not got more people to discover about it...

Please help Neil !!!...
According to me artists should enter their own dates because that's part of their job. Also it is the best way to make it realistic for many many years and efficient !!! Communication is very important ( Neil could not check by himself amoung hundreds of dates when one is cancelled ) ...

Myself being alone to maintain the calendar in France, I spend time to fix some small mistakes from people who entered their own date (for example people who forget to make visible in the title where is the event )...this is already time to do it... But you can trust me. Majority of the artists enter their own dates...

Such calendar is very serious !!! (Otherwise the french one would be empty after 6 or 7 years)
That's such kind of things that is not miraculous to get people to an event, but what you don't realise is all the rest: Make the artist to be known outside its own country to be invited in foreign events, to seil more CDs, to be more visible in the harmonica landscape by appearing in something central about the harmonica for harmonica lovers...
If you are an harmonica artist or want to organize events around harmonica (meeting that can be local, concert, festival, masterclass, presentation, collection event etc...), the best you can do to make it more easy again is to help Neil, make this UK calendar to be known !!! (Also this is a way for us outside of UK to better know about harmonica in UK ;) )

The only thing not possible is the one you don't try to do... : http://www.harmonica.co.uk/GigList.htm
