Trochilus tunings for bluegrass, fiddle tunes

Anything apart from the two mainstream default harmonicas (Solo-tuned fully-valved chromatic, and un-valved Richter 10-hole diatonic). Alternate tunings, different construction, new functionality, interesting old designs, wishful-thinking... whatever!

Thanks for the info Steve,

I’m still using tools from the old Lee Oskar toolkit that hasn’t been for sale for several years, so I’m a bit behind the times!..

Now, I just need to decide which Trochilus to put on the Christmas list - a C6 solo tuned for the classic Chromatic harmonica repertoire, or the G richter. Probably the former, as that will only need fine tuning, so I can build my confidence on it.

As an aside Triona, I read somewhere that Will Galison uses C6 tuning at times… It’s interesting that this particular tuning was chosen by JDR as an alternative to normal solo tuning, but it does make sense to me…
