Irish Tunes

Hello, I'm a newbie here although I have been playing various harmonicas for many years ,but more as an aside to my other instruments , guitar, banjo , mando, etc. I was just wondering are there any Irish trad players using Brendans alternative tunings and what would you recommend for someone who is still learning even at my age. I also love the blues but still struggle a bit at that so if theres a harmonica that would work for both styles I would be greatful for some advise. Many Thanks, Rusty.
