Trochilus Slider Spring

Has anyone had difficulty positioning the trochilus slider spring when reassembling the harmonica? It has a tendency to pull up above the comb and press against the reed plate when I reassemble it, making it noisy. Any tips or tricks?

Thanks!

I figured it out. The nut for the MP screw had slip upwards, causing the MP assembly and slide to shift up, causing the slider spring to rub up against the top of the slit it pokes thru. Pushing the nut back down into position fixed it.

It slides great now.

Hey,
That’s a great tip about the MP screw nut! I’ve struggled with the slider spring positioning too, and now I know what to check first. Appreciate the insight! :P :P

Oh that's a great way to do it. Just a little push of the nut back in place and everything works fine.
