PowerChromatic Trochilus
At SPAH, I saw the Trochilus from JDR. (AKA the Bushman Game Changer) It's a 10-hole chromatic harmonica with various tunings, and no valves at all. You can bend and even overblow. Only $85 USD - but it plays pretty well. I play PowerChromatic most of the time (even on diatonic harmonicas), so I got...

Slide Diatonic questions
Hi Brendan, I recently got the two Slider Diatonics in D & G, taking advantage of your special. They are delightful to play Irish music on. Thanks! I do have a few questions/comments on the D harmonica: 1. The D Slider Diatonic is an octave lower than typical diatonic harmonicas. I like the low-...

Re: PowerChromatic vs. Diminished
And by the way, I posted this just before I saw the post about Diminished Lucky 13s. If I keep using this tuning, I'll probably get one of those; the extra 3 holes will be nice.

PowerChromatic vs. Diminished
Does anyone have any thoughts on the pros/cons of the diminished tuning compared to PowerChromatic? As background: I've been playing PC Lucky 13 for a couple of years. I recently got a PC-tuned Seydel chromatic and I'm loving it. So Brandon, I got a lot out of your Zoom seminar on July 25. At one po...

Re: PowerChromatic options?
Thanks for the info! Several years ago, I resolved to spend more time playing harmonicas--and less time tinkering with them. (I've seen similar sentiments from you lately, Brendan.) In spite of that, you've got me thinking about customizing my own PC. It seems pretty easy. Is it just these steps? Us...

PowerChromatic options?
I've been playing a Lucky 13 PowerChromatic for a year or so, and loving it. Now I'm thinking about getting a chromatic harp with the PowerChromatic tuning. I have looked at the Seydel options - Saxony and De Luxe Steele. Are there other options for buying one? Looking to play it out of the box, wit...

Re: The OVERBLOW BOOSTER - Overblows Made Easy, New OB Effects
Just got the Overblow Booster working on an out-of-the-box Manji. It is cool. I often play a half-valved PowerBender these days. Couple of questions: 1. Seems like the booster would be incompatible with half-valved (PT Gazelle) reeds. I can't have both, right? When trying to overblow, seems like the...
