Gasket-valves availability

Post by tbone73 »

Hi,
I have east top forerunner and I would like to try it with your gasket-valves. When will it be available? is it also suitable for the new model, forerunner 2.0? Thank you.

Thanks for your interest and reminder! I'm on holiday for a few weeks, will make a note to do some final checks on a new Gasket-valve material I'm using for the Forerunner.

Any news on that? I was thinking on trying it on my Suzuki Promaster.

Also, Brendan, it's great that you have 7th hole covered with an additional valve, what about 5th hole? It does make sense to add valve there as well so you can bend the draw note. It doesn't give an additional note of course but it helps if you want to add some expression to it or slide to the note from below.

Gasket Valves are now back with an improved material. Currently for diatonic harmonicas but chromatic will follow.

I have a few sets of the older version for the 10 hole Kamise and 2 sets for the Forerunner. After seeing your new video I thought I would try again to install them. First thing I want to say is that I know how to work on chromatics and diatonics and have been doing it for years. I gave up on the older version because it was a total failure so inspired by your new video I gave it another try. All together I must have given it 15 trys and I can't get these thing to work, I can't figure out why and believe me I am very careful when I installed them. What is going on????

I hope I can help, but a few things aren't clear:

Are you trying to install the old version or the new?

You don't describe the actual problem. What is not working, in which way?

If you have trouble installing Gasket-Valves, check out my new Easy-Fit single valves. They are a good option for the Forerunner and Kmise, as both inside and outside valves:
