UNIVERSAL SWITCH-HARP RELEASED
After a lot of time in design and testing, I'm pleased to announce my new Universal Switch-Harp is finally here! The standard unit fits virtually ALL brands and models of 10-hole harp (plus there are special Seydel and Lucky 13 versions available). See the assembly video below, plus more info and ordering on my website:

(Special mention to forum member David Pearce. Although I'd tried it in early Switch-Harp prototypes going back 10 years or so, David was the first person to release a harmonica for sale using a self-sealing PTFE (Teflon) slide: his BackSlider model. This approach avoids the need to have a slider in a channel with tight tolerances. It simply seals with mouth pressure between the mouthpiece and backplate, relying on Teflon's very low coefficient of friction (slipperiness, in layman's terms!) to ensure the slider doesn't bind. Because Teflon is very flexible it needs a rigid guide rod or rail to keep the button end from bending. In the Switch-Harp I have two guide rods in the slider button that run in holes in the main unit.)
