hi, i'm new to the forum and i'm not sure i'm not a bit "off topic", but I suppose there are some nice people out there who could give me a piece of advice:
I've got a super 64 which I bought early 90's, rarely played (i'm also a drummer and play diatonic) , but I started again seriouly on the chromatic 6 months ago.
as the comb was broken and the high notes did not sound well, I bought a power comb; very nice, the high octave is much better, but in the low end it's still leaky and very hard to play; i think I did everything well, watched every video, read every article, I didn't overtighten the screws on the reedplate, put some vaseline on the mouthpiece, tightened everything nice (not too much), I can't see anything; so what's wrong???
is it normal for a super 64, are the reeds too old (visually they are nice)?
any idea anyone?
please forgive me if my english is awkward, thanks a lot in advance. cheers!
